Those are the exact same feelings I had when I stood on the breaks in the mountains of Oregon and looked out on the vast hills and valleys, stretching on for what seemed forever. It broke me to my core exactly when I needed to be, that was God talking to me.
I believe He shows us exactly what we need to see at the very moment when we can be vulnerable enough to fully and truly receive it. As I sat there, in the grass, I looked up and perfectly silhouetted against the blue sky and sun was a Red-Tailed Hawk.
That's when I knew it was my time to soar again and be who I really am, to quite living for pleasing other people.

I miss my horse. She was my deepest companion, therapist and truth teller. She saw me through grief, joy and confusion. How blessed you had a horse find the real you. So many will never have that deep, nonjudgmental love a horse can give. You are indeed blessed by a horse. Keep writing and sharing.
